The Big Question... What Is Multi-Level Marketing and Why Are People Making So Much Money?

In the last several years, being a top trainer in the home business industry, I often get the question – what is multilevel marketing?

Well, the simplest way to explain multilevel marketing is to start by saying it is one type of business compensation plan found in the booming home business industry.

The mistake happens when everyone thinks all home businesses are multilevel marketing businesses, because many are not.

In fact, in the home business industry, there are many types of business models including Direct Sales (which I participate in and find extremely lucrative) but most people’s first exposure to the idea of working from home is the multi level marketing model so they assume that every company is a multilevel marketing company.

But folks I think the real question is not what is multilevel marketing, but whether working from home is right for you?

Now if you are looking to change your finance future and want to make more money, many people flock to home businesses and multi level marketing because statistics show that people who work from home make more money than most people who work at an outside job.

In fact, their incomes far outweigh those in the general workforce.

Many people in the industry make between $10-$20K per month and this is in less than a year – that often translates to between $100K-$200K per year.

Now the only question you need to ask yourself is whether you have the drive, the initiative and the two pillars of success “consistency and persistence” in order to work for yourself. Do you have the winning attitude to make it here because I can tell you the “I’ll try it out and see what happens” attitude will not work in this industry – you need to trust yourself and your ability to make this work for you and your family.

If you do, the sky is the limit.

For example, do you prefer working at night? Or do you prefer working in during the day? Do you like to take your afternoons off to go golfing or do you like to work late? Well, if you have what it takes to work for yourself, whatever your heart’s desire you can achieve because the money is there for the taking in the industry, all you need is the drive, a good company and a great mentor to teach you the ropes.

And the best part is you will be accountable to yourself - You heard me right. You can work whenever you want. Yes! You will be the boss. You’ll be working for yourself and finally are being paid what you are worth.

So if the answer is that you have the entrepreneurial spirit to pursue a home business and you have the traits like diligence, persistence and responsibility to see yourself succeed, then do your due diligence. There are many companies and compensation plans out there and you have to find one that you feel comfortable with and will afford you the biggest return on your investment.

And remember that you will only be as good as your mentor so make sure that in choosing home business, you choose to join a mentor who is knowledgeable and can act as your guidance system through you new venture. Good Luck!
